We have stayed for 3 nights in this old but comfortable house. The area is very quiet and peaceful. With a 10 minute walk to the metro station it’s possible to get almost anywhere in Tokyo within 60 minutes. The house is big, cosy and comfortable with airconditioning in all 3 bedrooms. Waking up with the sounds of birds in the garden was a pleasant surprise!
We absolutely loved our stay in this traditional old house with creature comforts as an added bonus. I have limited mobility but I was comfortable- except for the very first step inside the house which I needed a mini step to help me with it. The hostess was extremely helpful and the house is just adorable. The kitchen was well equipped and stocked with essentials. We stayed there for 4 days and loved every minute of it.
We recommend this house highly! It's a lovely and large home a pleasant 10-minut or less walk to the nearest subway station, Minami-Asagaya on the Marunouchi Line, and even closer there's a convenient bus to access the Asagaya Station on the JR Chuo Line. The house is super interesting and has everything you will need and is a comfortable place to stay at the end of your day.
We stayed for nine nights at the end of January. The host were incredibly accommodating and understanding. They showed us how to get to the house and how to operate the amenities like the hot water heater. The home itself was clean and absolutely beautiful. I would gladly stay again.
We had a great stay - the house is just amazing! Staying at this heritage house really added to our Tokyo experience. Also TFS was very helpful with our arrival and any questions on the way. We will definitely recommend TFS to anyone traveling to Tokyo :)
We stayed at Minami-Asagaya home with our toy poodle. It was a great location, a few minutes walk from a lovely big park & about 15 minutes on foot to the nearest train station. The area the house is in is very quiet and calm, so it's a great place to escape the hustle of Tokyo. TFS were a breeze to deal with, thank you Tracey & Ash! The host met us at the check in & explained the information about the house. It's a good sized home with room to move, and a lovely big bathroom. The master bedroom is beautiful and the double bed is comfortable to sleep on.
The house in a quiet residential neighborhood is chock full of antiques, and maintains the charms of staying in a traditional house with the added useful modern conveniences, including a well stocked kitchen. The hosts made sure we had everything we needed. It’s like staying in a little museum with a modern kitchen and bath.
John - we loved hosting you - we would love for you to visit us again anytime.
