PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Additionally we use mailchimp for collecting email addresses for our mailing list.
When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information, Mailing List Information and Order Information.
We have a contact us page, your data is kept through this when you contact us via the form. It is kept within the site.
HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any bookings placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, shipping (if necessary) and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:
Communicate with you;
Screen our bookings and orders for potential risk or fraud; and
When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).
Other purposes include collecting personal information from our visitors is to provide visitors with products, services, and information that we think may be of interest. For example, we may use your personal information to:
- Complete or process transactions for you and send you confirmations, receipts and answer questions.
- Fulfill booking requests you have made, design and provide quotes and assist in your travel planning or providing of specialized information.

We do not share your Personal Information with anyone outside of Tokyo Family Stays.

COMMENTS
When visitors leave reviews on the site we collect the data shown in the review section, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
MEDIA
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
YOUR RIGHTS
If you are a European resident (in regards to GDRP), you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.
Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make a booking through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe as our business is based in Japan.
DATA RETENTION
When you place a booking or order through the Site, we will maintain your booking or order information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
MINORS
The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We also do not knowingly collect information for any minors under 18 years of age.
CHANGES
Tokyo Family Stays reserves the right, at any time, to modify this Privacy Policy. If we make revisions that change the way we collect, use, or share personal information, we will post those changes in this Privacy Policy. You should review this Privacy Policy periodically so that you keep up to date on our most current policies and practices. We will note the effective date of the latest version of our Privacy Policy at the end of this Privacy Policy.
